Who says pretzels are for eating?

At our house we don't eat pretzels we stick them in our noses...
and make funny faces...
...Although, Lauryn didn't enjoy it too much...

...So, we're a little strange. Life's too short to do things the same as everyone else. We've had a crazy day today and what better way to end it than sticking pretzels in our noses. Is it the weekend yet?

Goodnight Maddie

So a funny thing just happened. I went to check on the girls before going to bed and to my surprise this is what I found....

... Yep, that's Sadie, sleeping right in the same spot that Maddie sleeps in. It startled me at first and then I started to panic. If Sadie's in Maddie's bed where the heck is Maddie? I checked Lauryn's bed ... no Maddie ... I checked Kamryn's room ... no Maddie ... I checked the bathroom ... no Maddie. My last option was my bed and sure enough....
... there she was, sound asleep. The question is .... just how did she get there? Either Daddy didn't want to fall asleep alone or Sadie kicked her out. Now, who doesn't love the whole bed to themselves. I guess Sadie won this time. Naughty doggy!!!

FUNNY LAURYN!!!

Lauryn is learning about the letter "G" in Pre-school. Last Thursday she walked out with these glasses on. There were only a few kids wearing them and Lauryn was the first one we saw. I immediately started laughing. She looked so silly and she knew it. She had a big smile on her face. I love how free spirited she is. She didn't care who was looking or laughing. She thought she was pretty funny.

This is Lauryn posing for the camera. She had to get positioned just right. He - He!!!

I took this picture of myself. I don't have a clue where she gets her goofiness from?

6 months old

Wow!!! Kamryn is now 6 months old. I wanted to do this back on the 9th when it was her actual 6 month mark but I haven't taken the time. It is crazy how time flies. She is getting so big. She started sitting up a few days ago and today has actually done quite well. She sits in the middle of the floor and acts like she is the coolest thing in the world with all of her toys around her. Just imagine me sitting in the middle of the floor with a bunch of Snicker Bars and Diet Coke's. It's kind of the same (ha-ha). Anyway, I think I am finally getting the hang of things. I think the last few months have been quite crazy. The holidays were wonderful but I never quite got into a routine since I had Kamryn in July. I started watching a little14 month old boy. He is so cute. These last few months I lost my focus as a mother. I allowed myself to get too stressed out and didn't do those few small things that are so enormously important - like play with my kids, read to my kids, eat meals with my kids, and listen to my kids. I love being a mother.

The New Year!

(Sprinkling their Reindeer food outside Christmas Eve)

It's crazy it's 2009. I am excited to start a new year. There are going to be a lot of milestones this year in our lives. Alan becomes a journeyman in April. He has worked so hard for this and I am so proud of him. This will be really exciting because it also means more money. YEAH!!! This is bitter sweet, though. I know the more you make the more you spend. It seems like when times have been tough we've stayed closer for some reason. Life is just simpler.

Lauryn is also starting Kindergarten this year. I am so excited for her but am so scared for her too. I have enjoyed watching my girls grow and I've always been able to monitor their play time and know what they are doing or at least who they are playing with. I won't be able to do that anymore and it scares me. The world can be such an awful place. I hope what I've taught Lauryn so far will be enough to stand strong and hold her esteem high. I have high hopes for 2009. I think it will be a great year. I wish everyone a HAPPY 2009 and hope and pray it will be a wonderful new year for all. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
